Entry Foyer - the home's
interior has five window bays, hand-stripped wood floors, horse-hair plaster
walls and an eclectic mix of furnishings ranging from period antiques to
contemporary including fine art paintings from Plum Tree Gallery.
Nationally certified designer Joanne Lesak, MFA Environmental Design, used
an intimate palette to enhance the non-chemical and non-smoking environment
maintained by Plum Tree Gardens. The tea cart stands beneath ceiling
pendants ready for the next social hour. |

The formal Living Room with its large wood panel
doors and period antiques, looks out onto the front wrap-around porch, past
the grand old magnolia, to the Plum Tree Gallery gardens. Guests may
enjoy local wines and Wisconsin cheeses in front of a toasty wood-burning
fireplace or relaxing with balmy breezes on the front porch antique oak
furniture.

The aroma of fresh coffee and a variety basket of
homemade muffins will beckon guests to a three course gourmet breakfast
served in front of the five-window bay of the formal dining room.
Typically, fruit and an entree will be followed by Shelley's savory
pastries.

The light-filled space with comfortable chairs
invites you to read, converse, do needlework or just contemplate in an
easy-going relaxed atmosphere. Games, magazines, and an
extensive collection of architectural, interior design, gardening, and
cooking books are available for guests.

Visitors may spend intimate time sipping a glass
of wine or a cup of hot coffee while swaying to and fro in the antique porch
swing. The secluded spot with a full wood box is perfect for quiet
time just reading, relaxing, and enjoying the sweet scent of gardenia,
mimosa, flowering sage, magnolia and wisteria. The attached deck
overlooks the original summerhouse kitchen and neighboring houses.

Guests are invited to take a leisurely stroll and
enjoy the flower fragrances and luscious foliage at the Plum Tree Gallery
Gardens across the street. Although Spring is the most colorful
season, flowers continue to bloom into December.

Fine dining restaurants and antique shops are
located downtown within walking distance. June through August the
Downtown Development Corporation presents concerts in the park every other
Thursday.
