Three side windows in the blackberry room with separate dressing room view the original Borden Plantation home. A window and the private balcony, adjoining the dressing room with two closets and built in storage, overlook a wooded area. During Spring there is an explosion of flowering trees in view. An antique metal bed, painted dresser, stain-glass lamps, brass console table with TV, painted vanity, wood side chairs, painted lounge chair & rocker in front of a non-usable fireplace,. En suite bath complete the room.
A new bath was installed in the original sleeping porch. The original tongue and groove wood walls, beaded board ceiling, wood floor and storage cabinets were restored. Three-quarter walls were added to form a separate toilet room and separate tub room while providing a wall for two new pedestal sinks, a closet and one of the original cabinets.
The Pansy Room is unusual in that it offers a view
from three directions; the gardens across the street;
original Borden Plantation to the side;
and the wooded area to the back.
It has a non-usable fireplace, closet, antique metal bed, antique painted chest, TV, a large work table with a pair of spindle chairs and a sitting area composed of a computer desk and 2 chrome upholstered arm chairs.
The Pansy and the Peach Rooms share the Sleeping Porch Bath
The Peach Room has a front three-window bay overlooking the gardens across the street and a side window viewing the Borden son’s home. It is situated off the landing sitting area. A non-usable fireplace, closet, antique maple bedroom suite, antique wing chair/ottoman, wood rocker, elephant table, torchiere lamps area rug and pair of spindle chairs furnish the room.

The Plum Tree Gallery , 106 S. George St, Goldsboro, NC 27530
located across the street from Plum Tree Gardens, which was also restored by Dreamweaver and designed/furnished by Joanne “Lotus Blossom” Lesak. “The Gallery” now provides 3 rooms for overnight lodging. All rooms have incorporated faux finished walls. They feature an extensive collection of fine art watercolors by Haliwa-Saponi Indian artist Dreamweaver. Tuscaroran Indian artist “Lotus Blossom” specializes in large scale acrylics. The eclectic blend from antique to contemporary furnishings includes Indian pieces from Guatemala, the Southwest and North Carolina Indian artists/artisans. Hand finished wood floors and wood blinds complete the environmental design of the home
